Deep within the enchanting rolling hills, lived a boy named Shepherd. His life was mostly unadulterated, simple yet virtuous. His primary duty was essentially to tend to his flock of rams.

Frustrated and alone, the boy battled against the wolf but managed to rescue only few of his sheep. Devastated, he went back to the town only to be met with a scolding on honesty and the consequences of dishonesty.

His tale of this shepherd boy has been transmitted generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the value of honesty, the consequences of lying and the perils of false alarms. Moreover, it stresses how trust once violated, is difficult to earn back. It's a story as pertinent today as it was in the past.
